German style Wheat Beer 4.9%ABV 13°P
When we brewed this beer, we lived our memories of our travels in Bavaria. This time, we have dispensed with the extra spices and left the expressive work to the beer's originals - malt and yeast.
In the glass, this wheat beer appears cloudy, with a fruity straw colour and a white head. The aroma is dominated by banana and lemon peel, with a light biscuit in the background.
The taste opens with bananas and moves smoothly into the light acidity typical of wheat beers. Subtle notes of cloves emerge on the finish.
This play of flavours and aromas is thanks to the traditional Lalbrew Munich wheat beer yeast. During fermentation, they produce a large number of phenolics and esters, which manifest themselves in hints of banana, cloves and bubblegum. This yeast also tends not to settle completely, so the beer retains its cloudiness.
