Coconut Milk Stout 4.7% ABV /13.5°P
Milk stout has its origins in the blending of dark-as-charcoal beer with full-fat milk. In the 19th century, this was an easy way to create a more calorific drink while reducing its strength.
Today's modern Milk Stout is brewed using lactose or milk sugar. This gives this toasty beer balance. The milky sweetness goes well with the roasted coffee notes. The barley flakes contribute to the silky mouthfeel. The result is a creamy, full-bodied beer in the glass, with a texture reminiscent of a beer-milkshake hybrid.
In this version, we have additionally used our own kiln-roasted coconut chips and natural vanilla extract during the maturation process. The spices blend well with the thick base of this beer and a sweet coconut note crowns the roasted malts
