DŪMŲ BREWERY tour + tasting
The tour and tasting take place at the "Dūmų fabrikas" cultural centre. During the tour, visitors are told the history of the factory, which has been in operation here since 1882, with a special focus on the period when it was the world’s largest scythe factory.
The tour then proceeds to the modern "Dūmų Brewery", where visitors are introduced to the modern beer-making process, learn about the history of brewing culture, and are shown how different beers are created and what determines their colour, aroma and other characteristics. After learning about beer production, we’ll head to the brewery’s tasting bar with 24 taps, where we’ll sample six different beer styles representing contemporary brewing culture, with each beer being introduced as we taste it.
Tour + tasting takes around 1,5 h., price per participant - 30 €, minimal tour + tasting price – 240 €.
If there are people amongst the tasters who cannot consume alcohol, they are offered the chance to sample the non-alcoholic drinks produced at the brewery. After the tasting, participants can linger and socialise in the tasting bar, ordering a drink they have enjoyed or one they have not yet tried.
