Lithuanian Baked Festbier 5.7%ABV /13.5°P
This lager was made for the famous Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Over the years, the event has become a well-known tradition and is often celebrated in other parts of the world.
Festbier is a slightly stronger lager than the usual lager, with maltiness, bready flavours and a floral hop aroma. Despite being slightly stronger than the standard European lager, the beer's strength is its drinkability. Festbier is usually consumed in litre kegs during festivities.
In order to give the German tradition a local touch and to emphasise the malty side of the beer, we have used the authentic Lithuanian roast beer technology, where a part of the malt and water mass is roasted in a wood-burning oven. This brings out the caramel and nutty tones in the beer and produces a more intense, dark amber colour.
